Austin, TX – February 19, 2021— eMDs, a brand of CompuGroup Medical, is pleased to announce the launch of eMDs Patient Connect, a new, fully integrated telehealth solution designed specifically for Aprima customers. As a leading provider of Electronic Health Record (EHR), Practice Management (PM), and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) solutions, including an integrated telehealth solution was the next logical step in giving Aprima users another way to engage with their patients.

eMDs Patient Connect takes eMDs Aprima EHR to the next level with key telehealth features including:

  • Screen-in-screen capability. No tabbing between applications! Providers can see their chart on the same screen allowing them to efficiently enter and review notes while maintaining eye contact with their televisit patient.
  • Flexibility for providers and patients. There are no apps to download! Patients can use any device – phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop. They just click a secure link from a simple text or email. Providers can launch the telehealth module directly from the appointment schedule.
  • A convenient way to schedule patients. Scheduling patients is easy and familiar using existing Aprima appointment scheduling workflows. A special icon denotes which are telehealth appointments.
  • A standard billing workflow. Because providers are documenting in real time within the Aprima EHR, billing is just as convenient, quick, and easy as any other encounter type.
  • HIPAA Compliance. eMDs Patient Connect is a secure solution that provides compliance with the latest government mandates. This is a critical feature as many solutions in use today will not be compliant in future.
